Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) stands for Search Engine Optimisation which is the set of techniques for improving a page's rankings on search engines for targeted keywords.

SEO is typically divided into:

Keyword Research - Identifying keywords to target and understanding the competition for those keywords.

On-Page SEO - Structuring your page to make it clear to search engines what keywords the page is about. (put your keyword in the URL, title, headers, etc.)

SEO is an acronym that stands for “Search Engine Optimisation.

SEO is the process of optimising a web page to be more prominent in the search engine results pages (SERPs) naturally, or organically. (What is the meaning of "organic traffic" on the Internet?) Search Engine Optimisation is just telling the search engines specifically – and in a way that machines can understand – what your website is all about.

Search engines want what is best for the users and good SEO works best when it focuses on the users as well. SEO is not a particularly difficult discipline, but it does require specific knowledge, attention to detail, (more than) a modicum of creativity and a desire to learn …and to keep learning in a constantly changing landscape.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the method of enhancing the rankings of a website in the unpaid search results.
